NYFIX Buys U.K.-Based Web-Based Electronic Trading Technology Company Fixcity

NEW YORK (AP) -- NYFIX Inc., which makes software for processing financial transactions, said Wednesday it bought U.K.-based Fixcity, which specializes in web-based electronic trading.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

NYFIX said the acquisition will help clients find the best trading opportunities.

NYFIX shares fell 7 cents to close at $4.05.
