Apparel Makers Decline After Disappointing 1st-Quarter Report From General Electric

NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of apparel makers are trading lower Friday morning along with the broader market after General Electric Co. provided a disappointing first-quarter report.

Here's how some apparel makers performed shortly after the market's open:

Jones Apparel Group fell 24 cents to $13.20.

Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. dropped 88 cents to $58.84.

VF Corp. slipped 51 cents to $76.04.

Liz Claiborne Inc. fell 9 cents to $17.72.
